Introduction & Bio:
I’m Jared W. Campbell, a proud U.S. Army Veteran of Operation Iraqi Freedom. I served with the 36th Infantry Division of the Texas National Guard, and my time in Iraq began in August 2004 and ended in December 2005. After months of training at Fort Polk, LA, and 10 months in the combat zone, I returned home to face a different battle (total years of service from June 15, 2001, to December 2008).
Like many veterans, I faced a tumultuous transition back to civilian life. College was a daunting challenge, and securing a stable job seemed impossible. I grappled with emotional and physical challenges that often led to overwhelming frustration, conservation issues, and anger outbursts. But I persevered with the unwavering support of my wife Heather—my rock for the past 17 years—and our five beautiful children.
In 2018, we decided to move to Oregon, and by 2019, things began to turn around. That year was a turning point for me, both spiritually and physically. On December 15, 2019, I was chrismated into the Orthodox Church, and our marriage was also blessed the very same day—14 years to the day I returned from Iraq. God was setting things right in my life in His time.
That year, I also discovered the life-changing potential of cannabis. After years of being on multiple VA-prescribed medications, I finally found natural relief through cannabis, allowing me to get off the pills and reclaim my health. The benefits I experienced were profound, and it became clear to me that cannabis is a powerful and natural treatment for the issues so many veterans face.
Since then, I’ve become a passionate advocate for cannabis use among veterans and anyone seeking natural relief. I’m pursuing a Bachelor’s in Bible and Theology at Bushnell University. I’m also considering a Master’s in Counseling to combine my personal experience with professional tools to help others find relief and a better quality of life.
Through this platform, I’m honored to share my journey with you. I’m here to speak the truth about the healing power of cannabis and to help fellow veterans and anyone else discover the life-changing relief it can bring.
