About Us

Introduction & Bio:

I’m Jared W. Campbell, a proud U.S. Army Veteran of Operation Iraqi Freedom. I served with the 36th Infantry Division of the Texas National Guard, and my time in Iraq began in August 2004 and ended in December 2005. After months of training at Fort Polk, LA, and 10 months in the combat zone, I returned home to face a different battle (total years of service from June 15, 2001, to December 2008).

Like many veterans, I faced a tumultuous transition back to civilian life. College was a daunting challenge, and securing a stable job seemed impossible. I grappled with emotional and physical challenges that often led to overwhelming frustration, conservation issues, and anger outbursts. But I persevered with the unwavering support of my wife Heather—my rock for the past 17 years—and our five beautiful children.

In 2018, we decided to move to Oregon, and by 2019, things began to turn around. That year was a turning point for me, both spiritually and physically. On December 15, 2019, I was chrismated into the Orthodox Church, and our marriage was also blessed the very same day—14 years to the day I returned from Iraq. God was setting things right in my life in His time.

That year, I also discovered the life-changing potential of cannabis. After years of being on multiple VA-prescribed medications, I finally found natural relief through cannabis, allowing me to get off the pills and reclaim my health. The benefits I experienced were profound, and it became clear to me that cannabis is a powerful and natural treatment for the issues so many veterans face.

Since then, I’ve become a passionate advocate for cannabis use among veterans and anyone seeking natural relief. I’m pursuing a Bachelor’s in Bible and Theology at Bushnell University. I’m also considering a Master’s in Counseling to combine my personal experience with professional tools to help others find relief and a better quality of life.

Through this platform, I’m honored to share my journey with you. I’m here to speak the truth about the healing power of cannabis and to help fellow veterans and anyone else discover the life-changing relief it can bring.

My name is Carlos M., and this is my journey.
At 19, I enlisted in the U.S. Army, driven not by a lack of options but by a deep-rooted desire to follow in the footsteps of my family, who had served before me. For us, military service felt like a family tradition.
Shortly after completing my training in 2002, I married my soulmate, and our first assignment took us to Baumholder, Germany, with the 2nd Battalion, 6th Infantry Regiment.

In early 2003, we deployed to Kuwait on our way to Iraq, a mission that stretched over 16 months and caused me to miss the birth of my first child. Upon returning home, just 11 months later, we were sent back to Iraq from 2005 to 2006, during which my daughter was born.

Both deployments left lasting scars, both mental and physical, that would haunt me for years. Over the next decade, I struggled silently with mental health challenges and alcoholism while serving multiple tours with the 82nd Airborne.
In 2013, I transitioned to a recruiting role in Milwaukee, WI, leaving active duty in 2017 to join the Army Reserve supporting Drill Sergeant. The shift from active service to civilian life was incredibly tough, and my mental and physical health rapidly declined, leading me to a dark place.
By 2019, I retired from the Army due to medical issues, feeling like a shell of my former self, heavily medicated and struggling with anger and insomnia.
However, through divine intervention, I discovered the healing properties of cannabis. This newfound remedy transformed my life, allowing me to heal and find forgiveness.

I wish my story were unique, but the more I share it, the more I realize it resonates with many. Grateful for the green gift of God, I now dedicate my time to researching medical cannabis and its benefits.
My education:
I have an extensive background in both civilian and military education, holding an Associate of Applied Science in Criminal Justice, a Bachelor of Science in Political Science, and an Executive Master of Business Administration. My military training encompasses Airborne School, Air Assault School, the Army Substance Abuse Prevention Leader Course, the Contracting Officer Course, as well as both Basic and Advanced Leader Courses, and the Army Recruiting Course.
In addition to these qualifications, I am a certified discussion leader and peer support leader, among other certifications. I have dedicated numerous hours to studying and researching medical cannabis and psychedelics for medicinal purposes.

I proudly stand as a veteran, a conservative Hispanic, and an advocate for cannabis use among veterans.
This is my story.
